FAQs

What to expect

Everything first-time clients usually ask before they visit, answered plainly. Anything else, just call or message Amiee.

What happens on my first visit?

Your appointment starts with a short consultation so Amiee can understand what you are looking for and check the treatment suits you. Acupuncture clients receive a free consultation before their appointment, and for some treatments (like the Migraine Melter or a first fertility support session) Amiee will call you beforehand to talk everything through.

The clinic is a calm, private, ground-floor room on Hamilton Road, so there are no stairs to manage.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, loose clothing is ideal. For massage you undress only as far as the treatment requires, and you are covered with towels throughout. For reiki, crystal and reflexology sessions you stay fully clothed.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Most people feel far less than they expect. The needles are extremely fine, sterile and single-use, nothing like an injection needle. You may notice a brief tingle as a needle is placed, and most clients then find the session deeply relaxing.

Amiee explains everything before she begins, and you can pause at any point.

Will cupping leave marks?

Usually, yes. Circular marks where the cups sat are normal, painless and typically fade within a few days to a week. If you have a wedding, holiday or event coming up, plan your session with that in mind.

Is colonic hydrotherapy suitable for everyone?

No, and that is exactly why every colonic client completes a health screening before treatment. Certain medical conditions mean a colonic is not appropriate.

If you are unsure, message Amiee before booking and she will talk it through with you. Nothing goes ahead until you have been screened and had the whole process explained.

What if I need to cancel or rearrange?

Bookings are managed through Fresha, so you can rearrange or cancel your appointment online without needing to catch Amiee between clients. The clinic's current cancellation terms are shown during the Fresha booking process.

Where do I park?

The clinic is at 132 Hamilton Road in central Felixstowe, with on-street parking and public car parks close by. The clinic room is on the ground floor, so access from the street is step-free.

Can I buy a treatment as a gift?

Treatments make a lovely gift. Contact Amiee directly by phone or email and she will help you arrange one for someone special.

Complementary therapies work alongside, not instead of, advice from your GP. If you have a medical concern, please speak to your doctor first.
